White Knight Story is a fantasy Adventure/Role-Playing Game featuring very well detailed characters. They are crossing a lush forest and they are toting up swords and other weapons. These features are obviously the RPG characteristics of the game.
The game was developed by Level 5, so the producers must have invested a great deal of time to create the animations of the characters. “The parents” of With Knight Story are the ones who created also the prestigious Dragon Quest VIII. And this is a very representative thing. The trailer of the game is bringing great expectations for the full version, which is to be launched in 2007.
The main character (out of all the three protagonists of the game) is a boy who will come in the possession of an ancient artifact, which will transform him into the White Knight. He’s real boy-name is Lenard, and his adventure really starts when some mysterious attackers destroy the castle where he has been living. The king is also killed, but Lenard escapes through an underground passage. This is the place where he finds the ancient artifact, which is to make him the White Knight, a 7-meter tall warrior.
The commands of the game are issued through a menu. The battles of the three characters are quite fluid and in full real-time. The characters enter the combat with three armor-clad knights.

The trailer of the game is very impressive. Sony promised to launch the full game in 2007.

Medieval 2: Total War for PC has the ability of making you feel as if you were a king in your kingdom… It’s a strategy game that involves also political problems of espionage and so on. It features remarkable graphics and sound and musical effects. It is worth to be played.

The game will introduce you in a version of the One Hundred Years’ War, where England was on its way to quickly defeat France, if it weren’t for the Danes to betray the alliance. So you’ll enter the world of a three-front battle against France after about 150 years. England, Denmark and Spain will form a party against France. You’ll enter a world dominated by spies, assassins and diplomats, priests and merchants, all involved in the bloody battles of their big war!

The goal of this game is to conquer the known land, so you have to work with your men and army, knights, archers, catapults, cannons and all sort of other specialized fighters and their weapons. Your diplomats are also helping you as they are continually negotiating and your princesses, spies, princesses and assassins are doing their work too, supporting your initiatives.
This strategic game features two layers. The turn-based strategic layer makes you able to examine the map of Europe and to manage your empire. You are able to command all your settlements, navies, armies and agents. You are able to manage your improvement projects to enhance the economy and to build with the ultimate 15th-century technology a variety of roads, farms, and military bases.

In Medieval 2: Total War the settlements are composed from towns and castles. The towns are bringing you money and the castles are much more difficult to be captured and they providing a wider variety of military units.
The game features all the aspects of the medieval life, including religion. You must build churches or mosques. The religious aspect can help you, as it could become a very powerful diplomatic solution at some moment.
From the technical point of view, Medieval 2: Total War is not quite a difficult game. The controls are fairly intuitive for the most part of the game. You should pay lots of attention to what your enemy is doing, because the artificial intelligence is quite sharp and you can be attacked if you’re not paying attention to your weaknesses at a certain moment. However, the historical texture, the popular setting and beautiful visuals make from this game one that cannot be missed!

Here are some cheats for Medieval 2: Total War

Open up the cheat console by pressing the tilde key (”~”) and enter the following: give_trait this GoodAttacker
Instead of “GoodAttacker” you can add any trait you desire. The following list of traits is the work of wtfmate64 and Diamonddust2XXX.”

Traits with numerals following the trait-name can have any number up-to the number listed. The “strength” of each trait will increase with it’s value for these traits.

Neverwinter Nights 2 for PC is a role-playing game that should not be missed by the ones that want to be called real gamers! The story of the game will keep you in front of your PC as the game is the most authentic representation of dungeons and dragons you’ve ever found in a game till this moment.

Neverwinter Nights 2 was developed by some fellow from the creative team of other important role-playing games like Icewind Dale or Baldur’s Gate. The story of this game is a captivating one, so one should not reject playing Neverwinter Nights 2 because of some of its technical problems. The story, and not only, is able to make from this game a captivating and enjoyable one.
One should spend about 50 hours, or more, for finishing a single-player campaign. As the games has started, you should create a character for whom you can chose the race, subrace, appearance and many other characteristics; you can even chose the voice for your future hero. When this one has been created, the journey of your character should start. It will be a long and challenging journey, and at the end your character should be completely changed; if at the beginning of the game he was a humble simple man, at the end he should have been transformed in a real hero! A real hero who will be to be chosen the savior against the evil power.

Although the story till this moment sounds an ordinary one, you will be impressed by the political character of this game, and you’ll realize that it’s for real a good role-playing game! The world developed by the game was tried to be resemble the real world, which is also the world of your hero. So you wouldn’t get that feeling of being just hero and not the hero of that world.
Your character will be helped by a number of other characters, who will join you through the campaign. You can control your parties with just a click. Your party’s members will give free access to many important skills and abilities. Which sounds great!
The combats are taking place in real time, but you are also able to pause the game. A bad thing about this game is that the artificial intelligence is not so reliable sometimes. For example, in some labyrinthline areas or so you can easily lose your party and be frozen without any relevant reason.

The game features also quests which bring you experience points. These points will bring your character levels, which mean also strength, intelligence and other special skills and abilities. Experience points are coming also from defeating enemies, but in a smaller scale. You’ll be able also to collect many treasures and gold, so that you can buy and sell. You can play Neverwinter Nights 2 also online or on local network.
There are many other things to be told about this game (that it features a good music, for example), but it should be better discovered as a surprise by every one of us in part.

After PlayStation 3 had been finally launched Sony seem quite enthusiastic in spite of the few setbacks that appeared. Dave Karraker, the Sony Computer Entertainment’s Director of Corporate Communications, “delivered” to the press the company’s evaluation. They have been till now very satisfied by the new product’s release.
SCEA analyzed the feed-back from the early buyers of the console and were very pleased. Karraker said that this demonstrates the power of the brand. The new PlayStation 3 console was designed to revolutionize this category of products. Spending the free time will become a more and more pleasant activity, with the helping hand of the brand new console.
Sony is now trying to get as many PlayStations 3 as possible on the North American market, as the holidays are coming. They are trying to bring about one million items by the end of the calendar year. This will cause their not providing weekly updates on North American supplies.
Karraker also stated that their 60 Gb model has sold better than the 20 Gb one, and also that their best selling titles were Resistance: Fall of Man and Madden 2007. The Sony gaming products received a sales boost.

Technorati Tags: Playstation, Playstation 3, Sony

The 17th of November 2006 has represented the most expected day for the increasing community of gamers worldwide: PlayStation 3 has been launched in North America! After all that noise which preceded the launch of the brand new PlayStation, the rumors have turned to be true: the product has been selling very well, at least in the first hours since its release. The customers’ requests have exceeded the stock in most of the stores where PlayStation 3 has been launched.
Some of the customers have been waiting in line for over 24 hours just to buy the new PlayStation 3. The ones who have been luckiest than the others and have been among the first in line have bought the console and gone straight home to try it. They haven’t reported any problems related to the new Sony’s online services system.
However the rush that has been created by this release has affected some of the retailers’ fame, as they have not been able to fulfill the demands of their clients. This was not a very pleasant thing; neither for the retailers, nor for the customers. Every one of them expected many console to be put on sale.
Anyway, at least this release has not been a failure for Sony as it happened in the past with their XBox 360. The product is a viable one and the isolated reports of manufacturing defects have remained till now just rumors. PlayStation 3 has been given all the changes to become a dream console for many gamers!
Sony are now on the wave. They are being expected now to deliver as many consoles as people want. However, the foresights are expecting that the requests will surpass the supplies till early 2007.

Technorati Tags: Playstation, Playstation 3, Sony

PlayStation 3 just banged the world! Everybody has been waiting to buy the product. PlayStation 3 is the real thing! However, one might be surprised that some very important persons are also just waiting to run it! It’s for sure now, PlayStation 3 has fans everywhere. Just for example, according to the Associated Press, Senator John Edwards tried to make him noticed in this context.
One of the Senator’s staff members has contacted Wal-Mart in Raleigh, North Carolina, trying to get a favor from the store for the Senator, as the latter was very eager to have his console without losing any precious time in a line. What’s strange or, maybe, just funny is that the Senator has been recently involved in a hearing on the poor treatment of the store’s employees.
Edward was contacted and firstly denied that the call had ever been made. Later he admitted it, telling that his staff’s member called for his own interest. Wal-Mart commented that as every ordinary fellow has been waiting in line for the console, Senator Edward could make it too.
However, it seems that the Senator staff’s member really tried to get the console just for him. The idea came to him after he had heard the Senator’s wife commenting that she would like a console for their children.

Technorati Tags: Playstation, Playstation 3, Sony

The release of the PlayStation 3 was a very expected launch, as anyone could see. People have waited patiently or less patiently this releasing, hoping to live till the day that the brand new product will rest in their hands. However, on the 17th of November THE THING happened: Sony’s PlayStation 3 was launched and people got happy. But not all of them. The first in line bought the magic tool, went home and started playing… But what about the others? The guys who stayed there, in the streets, waiting for hour for their potentially favourite dream product? Well, a version for this story includes those people who had the guts to rob the stores for their pieces of PlayStation 3 consoles.
Although it sounds crazy this is quite true news. According to IGN, two men in Elk Grove did rob a GameStop store. They took all the PlayStation 3 consoles and several XBoxes.
The two guys weren’t passionate gamers, anyway, as they were planning to eBay the consoles. The prices would have been of $1500 and up.
This is a funny, ridiculous but true part of the story of Sony’s famous PlayStation 3 adventure. What’s next? We will see about that…

Technorati Tags: Playstation, Playstation 3, Sony

The new PlayStation 3 has been launched, but it must be supported by a proper market campaign – that was Sony Computer Entertainment America’s strategy for promoting their ultimate PlayStation 3 full computer entertainment system. The campaign’s slogan is “Play Beyond” and is featuring innovative advertisement strategies, as well as viral and online components. However, the traditional promotion and retail activities are still on. The future PS3 “consumer” should not be slipped by this campaign.
The message of the campaign is that PlayStation 3 brings them a totally innovative and unexpected way of entertainment. The PS3 brand’s identity should be created by this campaign that promotes a totally new instrument of spending leisure time and not only. PS3 must be identified as not another common game console, but the ultimate PlayStation 3.
Anyway the campaign addresses to the old PlayStation consumers, as well to the new fans of this way of spending time. For the old gamers, PS3 should appear as the best PlayStation ever, and for the new fans it would “sound” as future knocking at their door, bringing new feelings and sensations.
The campaigned has started in October and it has been developing till now from prints, bus shelter ads and so on to the TV advertisement campaign spots. The theme of the campaign is to bring the consumers a new approach on PS3. They are to understand how this “magical” console is working, so they are taken “beyond playing” for understanding the way its creators though. After that the consumers are to feel a little bit like their own PS3’s creators.
PlayStation 3 is the ultimate console, so the promotional campaign couldn’t have been just a selling campaign. Its innovative message and approach could be considered not only interesting, but also harmonizing with the product.

Technorati Tags: PlayStation, PlayStation3, Sony, Market Campaign

On the 15th of November Sony Computer Entertainment America, also known as SCEA, and Ziff Davis Game Group made a special announcement. The Official PlayStation Magazine, know also as OPM, will be soon discontinued in North America; the January 2007 issue will be the last one released.
The Official PlayStation Magazine has been an international video game magazine published by Ziff Davis Media. The main theme of the magazine has been the PlayStation culture, including gaming on the all three PlayStations existent on the market, and also on the PlayStation Portable.
The official announcement was made by the SCEA Vice-President, Peter Dille. He explained that this changed was necessary; starting with the launching of the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and its full network capabilities, the Official PlayStation Magazine would have been kind of useless, as its main attraction were the playable discs which were delivered with the magazine. For now on the content will be delivered directly through the PlayStation Network and the PlayStation.com official website.
Dille considered that the magazine was very profitable in the US, but they also though that it was very important to meet the needs of the consumers via the online network. The company considered this change a natural evolutional step.
The data, such as demos or high definition game trailers that were in the past to be found only on the DVD discs delivered by the magazine will now be available to everybody on the official PlayStation.com website and on the PlayStation Network, but only through the PlayStation 3.
However SCEA and Ziff Davis are to continue their working together to develop the content for the PS Network and the news coverage, game developer profiles and so on. The online Sony network will be from now on the free online network from where the gamers could get the newest demos and extras.

Technorati Tags: PlayStation, PlayStation3, Sony

After they passed the tests of the US Federal Communications Commission, and the latter approved the wireless and Bluetooth technologies, Sony is waiting for the FDA approval, so that they could sell their playstation. However, Sony will still be losing money, because of the context.

According to the study made by Merrill Lynch Japan Securities, the manufacturing of one single item of this playstation will cost Sony approximately $494, and the price with which the company is going to sell it will be about $399. According to this scenario, Sony will be losing from the first year of selling this product about $1.18 billion. However, this is a kind of common thing among the playstations manufacturers, who would rather support this loss, so that they will have a better annuity on the markets. This period is not a very good for Sony anyway, as the company has been overpowered by the break-down of the Vaio batteries. In a certain period of time, it was considered that Sony should leave the market of battery products.
One should be curious how Microsoft will cook Sony’s nose (/retaliate) by improving their Xbox, which would remain a very popular product in the US, in spite of the new technology that Playstation 3 is bringing to their customers. Another important problem remains the several games that would develop for PS3 and that finally would determine the popularity, fame and commercial success of this product. In the known context, the Japanese risk a lot, but somehow exactly this perseverance and sagacity makes me believe that PS3 will be a success. But not a very quick one…

Technorati Tags: PlayStation 3, PS3, Sony
